How do I log in?

Go to AbilaWiki FAQ for instructions. You only need to log in to add or edit pages, if you just want to browse, you do not need to log in.

Search Tips

On the left-hand side of your screen there is a Search box with two buttons under it labeled "Go" and "Search".

Put your keyword in the searchbox.

  • Go - (or Enter on keyboard) will take you automatically to the article, if it exists.
  • Search - will search the text of all pages on the wiki (with some restrictions, see below).

If you clicked 'search', or you clicked 'go' and the page you were looking for did not exist, you will be presented with a list of articles that matched your search criteria (or a message that no matches were found).

IE7 Wiki Search Integration

For IE7 Users, the wiki search can be integrated into the browser's search bar as shown above.

Uploading Pictures

1. Click Upload file in the toolbox on the left navbar

2. Browse to the source filename and add a summary if necessary – Click Upload

3. *Important: Note the destination file name (Copy (Ctrl-C) the name)

4. Browse to the page you would like to display the Image

5. Click edit on the page

6. Paste (Ctrl-V) the destination file name into the page where you want the image to appear

7. Highlight the destination file name and click the Media File link icon in the page editor

8. Preview (Alt-P) the page to make sure it looks right. If the picuture cuts into text below, you might want to force a carriage return underneath the picture. Do do this, type {{clr}} underneath the image, like this:

{{clr}}

9. If it looks right, then save the page

More Picture Tips

  • By default pictures appear on the right. You can make them appear on the left like this:
Avectra wiki.gif

  • To make your photo appear as a smaller thumbnail add |thumb|Caption Text]] as shown:
Designed Form Menu
[[Image:DesignedFormMenu.JPG|thumb|Designed Form Menu]]

  • For a full size image, you may still add a caption by adding |frame|Database Table]] as shown here. For a thumb, you may omit frame as this is added automatically.
Designed Form Menu

  • You can have several attributes, in any order, as long as caption comes last:
