with netFORUM 3.0 is the CEU Module. This module provides the ability to award CEU Credit to individuals for formal, association-sponsored, Event/Session registrations, and now extends that ability to grant CEU credit to purchased merchandise such as publications, miscellaneous products, subscriptions and subscription issues as well.
Further, these CEUs can be linked to a Certification Program and configured to be a certification requirement. To allow for CEU to be reported against these products, it is necessary to associate these products with programs and enter the default credits using the Event Credit and Product Credit features.
Once the products and Events/Sessions are set-up, CEUs can be awarded in bulk with the Generate CEU Credits functionality, or one-by-one. If added one-by-one, it is not necessary for the customer to have purchased the actual product.
Additionally, Self Report Credit may be entered for more loosely structured activities that individuals themselves report by viewing their credits online in eWeb and submitting self-reported credits. See My Educational Credits (eWeb) for additional information.

Customizing CEU Types for Your Organization
netFORUM uses drop-down lists for easy data entry. You will need to set-up the lists with information specific to the kinds of CEU types that you plan to offer credit for (e.g., you will likely set-up types for regular courses, publications, sessions, events, merchandise, and so forth). The CEU module is closely tied and related to the Certification module. As a result, CEU types are defined and setup within Certification Setup.
BOLD text always indicates that the field is REQUIRED data.
You can add, edit, or delete data from the Certification Setup pages just as you would from any netFORUM child form. However, once a data element is used on a profile page or form, it can only be disabled or hidden but not deleted.
You can also view a list of all the current CEU types setup for your organization from the Overview Group Item.
CEU Workflow
As noted above, the CEU module is closely interrelated with the Certification module. As a result, the workflow for setting-up your CEU credits and courses is built into the Certification Workflow steps.
Common Tasks
The icons and links displayed on the Overview page will direct you to a List page of their respective functionality. These, along with other common tasks, can also be found in the Group Items.
